Valentine’s Day, the cannabis way

Happy Valentine’s Day! For this special day, I thought I would take a look at the Valentine’s Day offerings and celebrations in the cannabis world.
Kinship Cannabis Co in Parma Township, Michigan, is offering shoppers a “bouquet” of one dozen roses. But, the bouquet offers up a special surprise to its recipient: 12 pre rolled joints. This $50 gift has been a big hit for customers of the recreational cannabis shop.
Westword of Denver recommends some Valentine-appropriate “seductive” strains, including: Cashmere, Desert Ruby, Strawberry Milkshake, Killer Queen, Pootie Tang, Berry White, Gushers, and Killer Queen.
Thrillist offers up a bunch of suggestions for edible products for the one you love, such as CBD-infused dark chocolate covered marshmallow Bon Bons. Or, if you prefer THC to CBD, there are white chocolate chip butter pecan cookies infused with THC. You can even quench your thirst with CBD-infused sparkling lemon seltzer water.

No matter what kind of cannabis you ingest this Valentine’s Day, remember to drive safely. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is taking aim at cannabis-impaired drivers this year, giving out safety bouquets and “sweedheart” valentines in an effort “to empower cannabis consumers to speak up and protect themselves and their loved ones.” A statement from CDOT said, “Patrons are invited to personalize and share the valentines, which include messages about marijuana-impaired driving safety, with their friends and family.”
One of their Valentine messages, sweet and simple: “Roses are red, violets are blue, I promise to never drive high, so I can always come home to you.”
